Review: Firespell by Chloe Neill

About~ As the new girl at St.Sophia’s boarding school, Lily Parker thinks her classmates are the most monstrous things she’ll have to face¬¬-but oh, how wrong she is.

When Lily’s parents decide to send her away to a fancy boarding school in Chicago, she is not happy. Lily’s classmates are the ultrarich brat-pack type-and if that isn’t enough, she’s hearing and seeing bizarre things on St.Sophia’a creepy campus.

The only thing keeping her sane is her roommate, Scout, but even Scout’s a little weird-she keeps disappearing late at night. When a prank leaves Lily trapped in the Catacombs beneath the school, Lily finds Scout, who’s running from a real life monster. Scout is part of a splinter group of rebel teens who protect Chicago from demons, vamps, and gone-to-the-dark-side magic users called Reapers. She lets Lily in on the secret, even though Lilt has no powers of her own…or at least none she’s discovered yet.

My Review~ This is my first book I have read from Chloe Neill, and it wont be my last. In the beginning of the book, I was a bit bored, but of course that was only because Firespell is the first book in the Dark Elite series. So in the beginning of the book it was all about the Intro. It was only until chapter 8 that things started to get interesting.

Besides form that, it was fun getting to know about the funny and quirky characters. Scout with her humor, Lily with her sarcasm, Jason with his hotness…, etc.

Overall I loved this novel. It’s a fun read. I can’t wait till book two Hexbound comes out in January. I wish Hexbound gets released sooner. Put this Novel on your TBR Pile.

Review: Tempted by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

About~ So…you’d think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark’s life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions. Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite’s visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal. Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn’t go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night series, TEMPTED.

My Review~ Okay, as much as I love the House Of Night series, I felt like no questions or problem were solved or answered. Instead I wound up having more questions and in the story there were more issues. At times I was a bit confused. The drama was still great, the characters were still funny, but sadly this was not what I was expecting for the 6th book of the House Of Night series. I hope the 7th book Burned is way better.

Cover Release: Night Star (Immortals Series) by Alyson Noël

This is book 5 in the Immortals Series. I love the cover. The bottle with the star on it looks like a perfume(How cool would it be if it was a perfume, lol). I'm not sure when this book is coming out, but when it does I am so getting it. I would buy the cover alone if I could. But I love the Immortals series so I would read the book of course.

Marta Acosta: New Book!!!!!

Okay, so I know a lot of people have heard of the author Marta Acosta (She is most likely known for her adult book series Casa Dracula). I hear she is a very good author from my aunt and I feel like it’s about time she writes a Young Adult series for readers like us. And what do you know, she did. I couldn’t be happier. Marta Acosta wrote a book for Young Adults called The Shadow Girl of Birch Grove. I’m not sure if this is the final cover though. To read this book online you can click HERE to read it for free. Review: Undead Much? by Stacey Jay

About~ Q: How many guys does it take to make your boyfriend wild with jealousy?

A: Only one, if he’s UNDEAD.

Megan Berry had a perfectly average new-sundress-and-boy-obsessed life-until her power to settle the Undead returned. Oh, and then her best friend tried to kill her- and ruin homecoming- with a bunch of black magically raised Zombies. At least she got a spot on the pom squad and a smokin’ boyfriend (Ethan). But now Megan is in deep fertilizer all over again. Why? Well, let’s see…

Feral new super-strong zombies? Check.
Cheerleader vs. pom squad turf war threatening the end of the half time as they know it? Check.
An Undead psychic hottie (Cliff) who’s predicting a zombie apocalypse-and doing his best to tempt Megan away form Ethan? Yum. I mean, Check.
Earth-shattering secrets that could land Megan in Settler prison for life? Um… It wasn’t me.

Everyone thinks Megan’s at fault for the uber-Zombie uprising. Looks like she’ll need the help of both Cliff and Ethan is she’s going to prove her innocence before it’s too late.

My Review~ Can this series get any better? I think the answer to that is HELL YES!!!
I love this book from start to finish. In every chapter, something exciting happens. I keep getting taken by surprise when I read this book. There is enough action for all those action loving people, enough romance for all those romance loving people, and enough of everything for everybody. Stacey Jay is such a good author. I really recommend this book to be on the top of your TBR pile.

Stephenie Meyer's New Book!!!!!

Okay, I know I'm late on this post, but can you believe it? Stephenie Meyer's coming out with a new book called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. Here's the picture of the cover.

I like how the Hourglass shows how much little time Bree has left. But let's face it, no matter what Stephenie Meyer's writes, you know it will be good. Plus how awesome is it that it will come out just a few weeks before the movie. It's Official, 2010 is the best year ever so far.
