My First "In My Mailbox"

(This post was inspired by Kristi at The Story Siren.)

Okay I have seen this at a lot of book blogs so I thought that this might be a good idea to do on Eternal Night also.

For those of you who don't know what In My Mailbox is, it's when each week you write what new books you have gotten/read from the Library, Bookstore, Etc. Most Book Blogs post Their In My Mailbox every week on Sunday but on the Eternal Night Blog, instead of doing it each week, I will be posting it at the end of the month.

This Month for In My Mailbox:

Feast of Fools By Rachel Caine
Lord of Misrule By Rachel Caine

Firespell By Chole Neill
You Are So Undead To Me By Stacy Jay

Review: The Dead Girls’ Dance by Rachel Caine

About~ Good News, Girls: Your Dates are Here!

Claire Danvers has her share of challenges- like being a genius in a school that favors beauty over brains, dealing with the homicidal girls in her dorm, and above all, finding out that her college town is overrun with vampire. On the upside, she has a great roommate (who tends to disappear at sunup) and a new boyfriend named Shane…Whose vampire hunting dad has called in backup: cycle punks who like the idea of killing just about anything.

Bad News, Girls: They’re Dead!

Now a fraternity is throwing its annual Dead Girls’ Dance and- Surprise!-Claire and her equally outcast best friend, Eve have been invited. When they find out why, all hell is going to break loose. Because this time both the living and the dead are coming out- and everybody’s hungry for blood.

My Review~ Rachel Caine novel The Dead Girls’ Dance is the sequel to Glass Houses. Claire Danvers life has turned upside down ever since she has moved to Morganville. The popular girls (Monica and her friends) wont stop trying to kill Claire, Shane’s dad and his biker buddies came to town looking to stake vampires (which might get them burned to death) and being invited to the annual Dead Girls’ Dance might not make be so fun after all. My Personal Option about this book is that this is a vary cool book. The author is such a good writer and I so can’t wait to get the next book to this series.

Review....Sort Of: The Eternal Kiss~13 Vampire Tales of Blood and Desire

I am not really sure if i can count this as a review because this book is not really a novel. It's just a lot of short stories put together. I would so recommend this book to anybody who loves to read about vampires, and short stories. There's not much for me to say about this book, so i guess that's it.

Overall:4/5

Review: Glass Houses by Rachel Caine

About-It’s a small college town filled with quirky characters. But when the sun goes down, the bed comes out. Because in Morganville, there is an evil that lurks in the darkest shadows-one that will spill out into the bright light of day.

Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. The popular girls never let her forget just where she ranks on the school’s social scene: somewhere less than zero. And Claire really doesn’t have the right connections-to the undead who run the town.

When Claire heads off campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don’t show many signs of life. But they’ll have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood….

My Review- The Morganville vampire series is to die for. The author knows just how long to make a scene last and and how much detail to write. Plus the main character is one smart girl. I so would not mind living in Morganville. Sixteen year old Claire Danvers wanted to go to Universities like MIT, Caltech, and Yale. But her parents would not send her that far away. So instead they sent her to the closet thing they found. Morganville. After she gets fed up with her situation (The popular girls trying to kill her) she look for new place. That's how she finds out about most of the things she needs to know about Morganville. But now she just might not live to know the rest.

Intro

I am new to book reviewing and blogging. I love to read non-stop when I can. One day when I was looking for new books at Borders.com, I looked at my wish list and i realized that i am addicted to books. And i am proud to say so. I have 94 books in my wish list without counting the 42 books i have gotten in the last 5 months. So i decided to share my book Passion with others and make a book blog. I hope you all enjoy. =)
