The Vampire Diaries Season 1 DVD Release Today!!!
OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! I love the Vampire Diaries and I am so glad to say that it's coming out on DVD today. Now sadly I have not seen all the shows to The Vampire Diaries. Out of all the shows in season 1, I have only watched about 5 episodes. But all 5 episodes got me hooked, but I never made the time to watch the whole season. So that's why I am excited to say that it's coming out on DVD today. Which means I am going to be watching all the shows in season 1 as fast as I can before school and season 2 starts. I plan to get it today or tomorrow. The sooner, the better.

The slave owner was not impressed. He was already launching the next whiplash, and it stuck Elena across the cheek and simultaneously opened a great gap in her thin summer top, slicing through her camisole and scoring the flesh underneath. As she gasped, the tail of the whip cut through her jeans as if denim were butter.
Tears formed involuntarily in Elena’s eyes, but she ignored them. She had managed not to make a sound other then that initial gasp. And she still stood exactly where she had first landed in protection. Elena could feel the wind whip at her tattered blouse, while her untouched veil waved behind her, as if to protect the poor slave who had collapsed against the ruined cart.

Book Blogger Hop & Follow My Book Blog Friday
It's time for another week on the HOP!!!!!! I love the book blogger hop. You find so many great book blogs that you never even heard of before. Here is Jennifer's from Crazy for Books explanation of it:
ABOUT THE HOP:
In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!
The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get over 200 links every week!!
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
If you start following someone through the Hop, leave a comment on their blog to let them know! Stop back during the week to see other blogs that are added! And, most importantly, the idea is to HAVE FUN!!
Now there is something new on the Hop and that is, each week you answer the question given.
This week question: Do you use a rating system for your reviews and if so, what is it and why?
My Answer: Actually, yes I do. My rating system is a 1-5, picture of a heart (1 being the worse, 5 being the best). Now why do I use a rating system, now thats a hard one to explain. I guess I use a rating system because It would show how much I love a book. If I love the book so much and I felt like everything was perfect about the book, then I would show my love for that book by giving a 5. And if I really did not like anything about a book, I wold show that by giving a 1.

Waiting on Wednesday (11)
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.
This week's pick is Origins (The Vampire Diaries: Stefan's Diaries, #1) by L.J. Smith. Origins hit shelves November 2, 2010.
About~ Set during the Civil War, against a backdrop of grand estates, unimaginable riches, and deadly secrets, three teenagers in Mystic Falls, Virginia enter a torrid love triangle that will span eternity.
Brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore are inseparable until they meet Katherine, a stunning, mysterious woman who turns their world upside down. Siblings turned rivals, the Salvatores compete for Katherine’s affection, only to discover that her sumptuous silk dresses and glittering gems hide a terrible secret: Katherine is a vampire. And she is intent on turning them into vampires so they can live together—forever.
My Thoughts~ This book sounds so good. I am a big fan of The Vampire Diaries and I would get this book in a heart beat. I love the cover but I would love it even more if Stefan had a little bit of blood on his lip like the first Vampire Diaries cover has.

Elena opened her eyes, all her memories of rocks and little children flying away, scattering like white dandelion silk in evey direction. She looked at Damen accusingly.
"You—you—"
"Yes," Damon said composedly. "Blame it on me. Why not? But I did not bite you. I merely kissed you. Your powers did the rest; they may be uncontrollable, but they're extremely compelling all the same. Frankly, I never intended to get sucked in so deeply—if you'll for give a pun."

Review: The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening and The Struggle by L.J. Smith
About~ Elena: The golden girl, the leader, the one who can have any boy she wants.
Stefan: Brooding and mysterious, he seems to be the only one who can resist Elena, even as he struggles to protect her from the horrors that haunt his past.
Damon: Sexy, dangerous, driven by the urge for revenge against Stefan, the brother who betrayed him. Determine to have Elena, he’d kill to possess her.
My Review~ This was a review I had set up for a rainy day.
This book was such a roller costar. Elena has so much to deal with. In the beginning of the book, I felt that Elena was kind of a snob. When she first saw Stefan and he was pretending that he didn’t see her, she got so mad. It was kind of like a spoiled brat.
This book reminded me of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer in some ways. The love story between Elena and Stefan is like the love story between Edward and Bella, and how they are madly in love with each other.
The Plot of the story is vary interesting.
It’s quite different from what I thought it would be.
I thought it might be something like a girl who thought she was better than everyone else and she thought not even Stefan or Damon was good enough for her, but my god, how wrong was I? This book was better than anything else I have ever read. Well, at least for the moment. A girl caught between two vampire brothers who despise each other is the best plot ever. I recommend this book to readers, big time.

Review: Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel
About~ After centuries of terrorizing Europe, Lenah Beaudonte, with the help of the handsome Rhode, has been able to realize the dream of all vampires--to be human again. Now as a raven-haired, sixteen-year-old, Lenah believes her greatest challenge is fitting in at her new school. But the challenges have only begun. The vicious coven Lenah once ruled is threatening the new found pleasures of her human life, including the one guy who makes her feel most alive, Justin. Can this ex-vamp survive in an alien time and place or will her past come back to haunt her...forever?
My Review~ First off, sorry it took me so long to read and write this review. I have been really busy and life got in the way.
This was a vampire book like no other. The copy of the book of Infinite Days I own is an ARC. I got the book for review from Librarything.com.
This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat while I was reading it. Even in the first chapter, I started to get easily hooked in Infinite Days. The point of view is told from the main character, Lenah. I love Lenah's personality and how she is willing to risk dying just to protect her friends.
In Infinite Days, there are also flashbacks or Lenah past. In one of the flashbacks, you read just how Lenah become a vampire and how her coven was created and how strong they were together.
I also liked the author's different aspect on vampires. It was quite interseting to read read how a vampire can't really feel an object, but only remember how it must have felt like from when they where human. And it was also quite interseting to read why a vampire can't go out in the sun. Like I said before, this book is a vampire book like no other.
The characters besides Lenah, was really fun to read too. Tony was the funny one, Justin was the hot one, and the three-piece were the girls that always think there all that, and so on...
What happened at the end surprised me the most. Everything in the last five chapters or so, were non-stop page turners. This book was so well writen, I loved it. I hope there's a next book. I recommend readers to put this book on their TBR pile and fast. You would not want to miss this book.

Waiting on Wednesday (10)
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.
This week's pick is Ripple by Mandy Hubbard. Ripple hits shelves August 2011.
About~ Eighteen years old Lexi is cursed--by day, she's just like every other teen at Lincoln City High. But from dusk until dawn, she's forced to swim and sing, a modern day siren. At sixteen, her voice became a deadly lure, and Steven-- the only boy she's ever loved-- followed her straight into the story surf and drowned. Now, Lexi spends her nights at a forgotten lake up in the mountains, where she can swim and sing in peace. She's become an ice queen, forced to keep everyone around her at arm's length in order to protect them. That is, until Cole comes to town. Cole, with his dark good looks and prying questions. She can't seem to keep him away, and she's no longer sure she wants to. But how can she let him in when it can only end in his death?
My Thoughts~ This book sounds so good. The cover looks great too. Just by reading the description of what the book is about, I just can’t help wanting to read more. This sounds like one of those books that will leave you breathless.

After dinner , I came out of the bathroom freshly showared in jeans and a T-shirt. I held a bag of toiletries in my hand and was making my way down the darkened hall toward the guest bedroom. I took a step, then hesitated. There was a shuffling behind me, but it stopped the same time I did. I spun around. Justin stood in the darkness.
